Standish Adair is a writer/translator, director, and musician currently residing in Madison, Wisconsin and Mexico City, Mexico. He is Executive Director of Cinema Conservancy, a non-profit organization that produces, preserves, exhibits, and provides financial and consulting support to dozens of American independent films. Adair has served as Editor-at-Large for Mexico at Asymptote Journal and his work has appeared or is forthcoming in Latin American Literature Today, Cheap Pop, Waxwing, perhappened mag, BrooklynRail, and The Hopper. In 2022, Random House Mondadori published an anthology of the poetry of Guadalupe 'Pita' Amor, co-edited by Adair and he is currently co-editing Untranslatable: A Book of Translations with Ellen Jones. Adair is a founding member of the Mexico City-based translators' collective, Falsos Amigos, which published Mundos Alternos, the first of three volumes of El futuro es mujer with Almadía in Fall 2022.
